Welcome to Winter Break!! The holiday season always brings the opportunity for building memories with family and friends and relaxing and recharging during the harsh Canadian winter. Whatever your family is up to, we wish you the best. Our teachers, support staff, and admin team feel loved and supported by the community and that is a wonderful gift. Thank you to all the families who were able to join us in caroling and fun games. Staff was also very touched by all the kind words, gifts and treats that were provided this week.
School Council January 15
With the recent announcement about the change in designation for Parkland students in grades 5 and 6 to attend Wilma Hansen has brought many good questions forward. In discussions with families, there is an appetite to learn more about the middle school model at Wilma Hansen, and what the day to day life is like for the younger students. I have planned for Mr. Brent Banack, the principal at Wilma Hansen, to join us at our next school council meeting. He will present information at the start of the meeting and provide opportunity for parents to ask him any questions.
