Prince of Wales Weekly Update - October 26, 2026
Action Packed Week
We closed out a short, but action-packed week with fun lunch, spirit day, and spending time learning new (and old) games to play on the freshly painted tarmac during recess times. Volleyball nets are up this week and the anticipation of Halloween is in the air. School council was last night, and the grade 1 team shared a video about ways to support young readers at home. Here is the link if you would like to take a look https://youtu.be/iLf51h6zkU8.
Cold Weather - be Prepared with Clothing
With the weather turning cold, we have been reminding students to check the lost and found, and to come prepared for outdoor recess and outdoor learning. Picture retakes are on Monday and this is the picture day for the Monday/Wednesday kindergarten class.
Literacy and Numeracy Screen Reports
CBE will send a message out to all families with links to flatsheets to explain about the literacy and numeracy screener reports that will be sent home with children next week. Please take a moment to read that email as it will help you make sense of the printed report that will be sent home. Worth noting is that kindergarten do not take the screeners until January.
