Did you know that we have a safety committee as part of our school council.  Please see the important message below highlighting safety around our school.

Driver Safety - Tips for Motorists

  • Please no parking at any time of day in the bus zone.
  • Always look out and stop for pedestrians.
  • Don't park within 5 meters of a crosswalk. If you think you’re close, keep driving to find another safer parking option.
  • No 3 point turns in school zones. Drive to the next intersection to make a turn
  • Ensure proper visibility of your vehicle. Make sure your windshield and headlights are clean and don't obstruct your view.
  • Slow Down! 30km school zone speed limit makes safety sense.
  • It may surprise you, but 1/3 collisions are a result of driver distraction. Keep your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road.
  • Unnecessary idling creates a health hazard for children, wastes fuel, and is hard on your engine.
  • SLOW DOWN!  There has been an increase in the amount of vehicles that are driving quickly through our school zone as well as the back alley.  Please help keep our students safe.
