Reminder: Dress for the Weather 

We have experienced our first snow of the winter and we want to remind parents to send their students dressed appropriately for the cold temperatures and snow. 

 A warm winter jacket, snow pants and winter boots are a must.  Also please ensure your student has either gloves or mittens that are waterproof .  We had a few tears today when students were too cold to enjoy the snow. 

It is a great idea to label your students winter gear as they often misplace items and when they are labelled, we can make sure they go to the right student! 

 Students go out twice a day, morning recess and lunch recess.  Students only remain indoors when the outside temperature is below -20 degrees Celcius.   Fresh air is important to learning!

Hallowe’en Activities  

All students are invited to wear Hallowe’en costumes on Monday, October 31st. Halloween celebrations will only take place in the afternoon. Students are invited to wear their costumes after lunch. Costumes can be placed in backpacks and need to be able to fit over clothing. Please NO masks, gory costumes or weapons.  Please see class blogs regarding the classroom specifics. 

Remembrance Day Assembly 

Our grade 3 /4 team will be hosting a Remembrance Day assembly on Wednesday, November 8 @ 10:30am.  All families are welcome to attend. 

Picture Retakes 

Wednesday, November 1 is picture retakes and Kindergarten pictures. 

Bussing 

Bus A – Stop Changes Effective November 1st 

One of the bus stops for Bus A has been changed due to safety concerns. Please check your MyCBE account for informaiton on your child’s new stop location.This will take place effective Nov. 1, 2023.
