SOGO 

What a fabulous week the students have had experiencing trail adventure running with SOGO.  Students were excited to explore the trails so close to our school.  A special thank you to Friends of Parkland Way for financially supporting this once again.  We would also like to thank the host of volunteers who helped out this week.  We couldn’t have done it without you! 

Hallowe’en Dance 

The family Hallowe’en dance is set for October 19 from 6:30-8:00pm.  We kindly ask that NO masks, gory costumes or weapons are brought as part of your costumes. Information regarding tickets will be coming come next week. Stay tuned. 

Subscribe to stay informed 

We send out SchoolMessenger emails with information. If these emails include any commercial content, for example yearbook sales, Healthy Hunger fun lunch, fundraising information, you must have subscribed to receive them. To avoid missing out on these pieces of information we invite you to subscribe at this link. 

Lunchroom Registration 

All students who stay for lunch are required to register for lunchroom supervision.  You can register and pay using your MyCBE account.   

Child & Youth Well-Being | Family & Caregiver Series 2023-24 

The Calgary Board of Education is inviting all families and caregivers to join in an online series focusing on child and youth well-being. These sessions are hosted in partnership with Alberta Health Services and will explore topics such as vaping, brain development, mental health, and sexual health. 

These sessions are provided free of charge  and provide information, resources, helplines, and services to support healthy child and youth development.

School Council and Friends of Parkland Way 

The next council meetings will be on Wednesday, October 11 at 6:30 in the learning commons. Our music teacher, Mrs. Brocke, will be presenting and sharing information on the music program.  If you would like to join virtually, please email Miranda and Jenn at powcouncil@gmail.com and they will forward the zoom link to you.
