Many thanks to all the families who joined us for our Welcome Back Family Social on Thursday evening. Although the weather did not cooperate with us, we were able to gather in the gym. Our families enjoyed meeting other families from their class and being able to connect with their child’s teacher. Thank you to school council for their support and providing the ice-cream enjoyed by all.
Terry Fox Run
Thank you to the many volunteers who came out to support our Terry Fox Run this morning. We were grateful for the beautiful weather as we gathered as a school on the Ridge at Fish Creek. There were over 300 students, 25 staff, and many volunteers walking and running to honour and carry on the tradition of Terry Fox. Classes continue to collect donations until September 26th.
Conferences
Parent-Teacher conferences are coming up. Conferences are set for Thursday, Sept. 26 from 3:30-7:30 and Friday, Sept. 27 from 8:00-12:00.
The conference booking system will open next week. You will need a CBE account to access the booking system. If you need support with this, please contact the office @ 777-6880.
Subscribe to stay informed
Most school messages are sent to parents through SchoolMessenger. It’s a mass communication tool that allows schools to easily and securely send email, If these emails include any commercial content, for example yearbook sales, Healthy Hunger fun lunch, fundraising information, you must have subscribed to receive them. To avoid missing out on these pieces of information we invite you to subscribe at this link.
Traffic Safety
For the safety of all of our students, please be careful driving through our school zones. The front and the back of the school are very busy. We ask families to choose safety over convenience. Instead of doing a u-turn in the middle of the road, please take the extra minute to drive straight and turn around at an intersection or the end of the road.
Please note that the ally behind the school also requires the same respect and safe driving parameters. Driving slow helps to keep all of our students safe. Thank you!
