Prince of Wales Weekly Update

Dear Prince of Wales Families,

We hope you had a chance to enjoy some of the beautiful weather with your families this weekend.

Last week, our students took part in our annual Terry Fox Run. The Grade 2 Team led the charge and shared research and a song prior to our run on the ridge. Thank you to School Council for providing a snack and to our many volunteers.

Next week, our Grade 1 Team will lead the Orange Shirt Day assembly, and all parents are welcome to attend.

We have our Lacrosse Residency this week, and what perfect weather for it! We are looking forward to seeing many of you at our Meet the Teacher Open House this Thursday. Thank you to the School Council School Fundraising Association for hosting the Welcome Back Family BBQ/Picnic that evening.

Bus Attendance

We need your help with bus attendance. If your child is not going to ride the bus on any given day, please email the office AND the teacher.

We hold the bus until we are certain all students are accounted for, which causes delays for students getting home and impacts the next route for the drivers.

Lost and Found

With the beautiful weather, our lost and found has become quite full. Hoodies, jackets and sweaters are left outside daily at recess times.

Please consider labeling your children's clothing so we can return as many items as possible. Lost items stay with us for a month or so and then go to donation.

Parent Viewpoint Forms

Parent Viewpoint Forms have been sent home for you to complete and share with your child's teacher. Some teachers sent digital forms home, while others sent home paper copies.

Please refer to your classroom teacher's weekly message for details.

Current Fundraising

Mini Family Portrait Sessions with HT Photography

Capture holiday photos while supporting our school! We have partnered with HT Photography to offer mini family photo sessions.

• Date & Time: Thursday, October 22, 4:00–8:00 PM
• Location: Prince of Wales Elementary School
• Details: $20 plus tax includes a 10-minute portrait session and one free 8x10 print. Additional photos and custom print products will be available for purchase.
• School Contribution: 100% of the $20 booking fee goes directly back to our school.
• Availability: Only 21 sessions are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
